Arashi is the Japanese word for storm. It is the name Kano gave to a collection built around one idea: the calm, deliberate athlete who becomes a force the moment the round starts. The Arashi 2.0 graphics run across the whole line — the BJJ gi in black, white, blue and red, the rashguards in long and short sleeve, the shorts, the spats — and follow you off the mat on the drawstring backpack, the towel, the patch and the cap. One collection, one identity, whether you train in the gi or no-gi.

The Arashi 2.0 collection, piece by piece

For gi training there is the Arashi 2.0 BJJ gi, in four colours and eleven adult sizes, with the trousers also available on their own. For no-gi there are the Arashi 2.0 rashguards, long sleeve and short sleeve, the Arashi 2.0 shorts and the Arashi 2.0 spats, all from XXS to XXL. And for everything around training: the drawstring backpack, the microfibre towel, the sublimated patch, the cap with peak and the Arashi skateboard deck.

Gi and no-gi with the same graphics

Many athletes train both with and without the gi in the same week. The Arashi 2.0 collection was designed so that a rashguard worn under the gi on Monday and a rashguard-and-shorts set worn on Wednesday carry the same graphics, and so that the gi itself belongs to the same family. You do not have to choose between a gi identity and a no-gi identity: the collection covers both.

Rashguards, shorts and spats

The Arashi 2.0 rashguards are made with the multi-panel construction used across the Kano no-gi range, with panels shaped along the lines of the body so the garment stays in place and does not ride up. The shorts have no velcro and are built to stay up on their own, which is why we recommend choosing the size in which the waistband holds you firmly rather than the more comfortable one. The spats complete the set for those who prefer full leg coverage.

Accessories that carry the collection

The Arashi 2.0 drawstring backpack carries your gi or your no-gi kit to the gym; the microfibre towel brings the same graphics into the changing room; the patch, sublimated with the Arashi artwork, lets you mark a bag or a gi as yours.
